The Department of Economic Cybernetics was founded in 2000. The first recruitment of students for the specialty “Economic Cybernetics” was held in 2000. Since the beginning of the academic year, the department has been headed by Dr. D.M. Marchenko, and soon – Ph.D. S.P. Roschupkin. At that time, 10 employees worked at the department.<\/p>

From 2002 to 2004, the department was managed by Ph.D. V.V. Yatsenko From 2005 to 2010 – Ph.D. S. M. Novak, and from 2010 to 2014 – Ph.D. K. G. Hrytsenko.<\/p>

From 2014 to 2016, the department was headed by Doctor of Economics. V. M. Oliynyk.<\/p>

From 2016 to 2022, the department was headed by Doctor of Economics. O.V. Kuzmenko. Since 2022, the head of the department is Dr. V.V. Koibichuk.<\/p>

The department has 19 employees, including: 7 associate professors; professors \u2013 2; senior lecturers\u2013 5; assistants \u2013 4; specialist of the department – 1. More than 90% of lecturers have scientific degrees of doctor or candidate of sciences.<\/p>

Over the years, the lecturersof the department have prepared and published several dozen methodical manuals and textbooks from various disciplines aimed at improving the educational process.<\/p>

– The department prepares students of higher education according to educational programs: bachelor’s level – “Esports and Game Development” specialty 121 Software engineering, “Economic cybernetics and business analytics” specialty 051 Economics;<\/p>

– master’s level – “Economic Cybernetics” specialty 051 Economics<\/p>

– Doctor of Philosophy level, specialty 051 Economics<\/p>

During the existence of the department, more than 300 masters have been trained.<\/p>

Almost all graduates of the department are in demand and work by profession, since knowledge of information technologies, methods of analysis and research of economic processes is a requirement of today and a guarantee of a successful career.<\/p>

To ensure professional training at the levels of relevant specialties, the department teaches about 40 disciplines, for which modern methodological support is constantly being created and improved<\/p>

The department has 7 computer classes and specialized laboratories connected to the Internet. Modern licensed software is used for training.<\/p>

The department pays special attention to continuous computer training of the future economist-analyst. For this purpose, all professional disciplines have computer support, and the internal website of the department operates. The department cooperates with the Educational Center “Laboratory of Software Testing” QAtestlab, the main tasks of which are:<\/p>

– mutually beneficial cooperation of the Department of Economic Cybernetics and LLC “KYUATESTLAB” in the field of education and training of qualified specialists, exchange of experience in the development of advanced methods and technologies of education.<\/p>

– assistance in conducting career guidance work among students.<\/p>

– the use by the Department of Economic Cybernetics in the educational process of the course materials “Software testing for Universities”, online platform WEB100.Platform.<\/p>

– involvement of leading specialists of “KYUATESTLAB” LLC to conduct consultations for lecturers who teach the discipline of software testing.<\/p>
