Olga Kuzmenko<\/strong>, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Head of the Department of Economic Cybernetics<\/strong>, Sumy State University, won the annual competition of the Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine “Young Scientist of the Year 2021”<\/strong> in the category “Economics”.<\/strong><\/p>


Olga Vitalievna’s achievements are impressive:<\/strong><\/p>

  • Scholar of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine<\/strong> for young scientists (2016-2018);<\/li>
  • Head of the Grant of the President of Ukraine for young scientists – doctors of sciences “Development of a prototype of an automated module for financial monitoring of economic agents to combat money laundering”<\/strong>, 2019;<\/li>
  • received a letter of thanks from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine<\/strong> (2021), awards of the head of the Sumy Regional State Administration<\/strong> (2016 and 2018);<\/li>
  • winner of the competition ” Young Scientist of the Year 2021 “<\/strong>among doctors of sciences, held by Sumy State University;<\/li>
  • 16 articles have been published in scientific journals indexed by Scopus, 7 in publications indexed by Web of Science; H-index for Scopus – 5; H-index for Web of Science – 3;<\/li>
  • executor of numerous international projects;<\/li>
  • editor-in-chief of the international scientific journal SocioEconomic Challenges;<\/li>
  • reviewer of scientific journals \u201cGlobal Economics Science\u201d<\/strong> (Singapore), \u201cFinancial and credit activity: problems of theory and practice\u201d<\/strong> (WoS index), member of the editorial board of the collection of scientific works \u201cFinancial and credit systems: development prospects\u201d<\/strong>;<\/li>
  • Head of 2 state budget research works: “Cybersecurity in the fight against banking fraud: protection of consumers of financial services and growth of financial and economic security of Ukraine” (2018-2020), “Data-Mining to combat cyber fraud and money laundering in the context of digitalization of the financial sector of the economy of Ukraine “(2021 – 2023)<\/li>
  • responsible executor of 3 state budget research works, 3 projects of the National Research Fund of Ukraine, 17 research projects commissioned by business \/ authorities (Sumy City Council Executive Committee, Department for Prevention of the Banking System for Legalization of Criminal Proceeds and Terrorist Financing of the National Bank of Ukraine)<\/li>
  • co-author of the methodology, which became the basis of the resolution of the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine dated 12.10.2010 \u2116458 “On approval of the Methodology for assessing the risk of violation by banks of the requirements of the legislation on financial monitoring”;<\/li>
  • member of the specialized academic council at Sumy State University, member of the specialized academic council at the Semyon Kuznets Kharkiv National Economic University;<\/li>
  • member of public organizations: “Council of Young Scientists”, “Federation of E-Sports of Ukraine”, “Banking Academy”<\/strong>.<\/li>
  • participated in international internship programs in Germany, England, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands;<\/li>
  • supervised the preparation of successfully defended 3 dissertations for the degree of Doctor of Economics and 2 dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences.<\/li><\/ul>
