The modern world is developing in the conditions of a fundamentally new technological, economic and social reality. The technological paradigm is changing, management models and social norms are changing, large-scale demographic shifts are taking place.<\/p>

The transition to a new model of society – to the digital economy – is taking place at an extremely fast pace. Does a modern economist need IT skills? How can a modern economist make a career in IT? These and many other questions were answered by the first-year students of the BiEM National Institute of Technology during a meeting with Oksana Mykolaivna, the head of the QATestLab Training Center \u2013 Kurmash.<\/p>

Meeting of students of the 1st year of specialties 051 “Economics”, 071 “Accounting and auditing”, 072 “Finance”, 073 “Management”, 075 “Marketing”, 076 “Entrepreneurship”, 281 “Public administration”, 292 “International economic relations ” was held on September 21 as part of the study of the discipline “Quantitative methods in economics”.<\/p>

Oksana Mykolaivna drew attention to the importance of skills in the IT field for future economists, to employment opportunities for economists in various IT companies. This is usually prodact\/project – managers, economic security analysts, HR recruiting specialists, team lead managers. This is by no means a complete list. Ms. Oksana drew attention to the fact that one of the main requirements of an international IT company for future employees is fluency in English. In addition, they must have up-to-date knowledge and practical skills in economic statistics, financial analytics, the basics of programming, the psychology of human behavior, etc.<\/p>

According to Ms. Oksana, the QATestLab company also employs economists. QATestLab is an outsourcing IT company that provides a full range of software testing services. Works in the independent testing market, performing product quality checks (from online stores to gaming platforms and banking systems) for customers from Europe, America, and Asia.<\/p>

Oksana Mykolaivna presented the company QATestLab, talked about the advantages of employment in the company for graduates and students, offered to try yourself as a software tester and from the 3rd or 4th year to combine studies with work. In particular, you can try to get a job at QATestLab. A necessary condition is the successful completion of the free online course from the company QATestLab “Fundamentals of software testing”.<\/p>

During the meeting, students received information about the course itself, about skills after completing the course, about registration for the course, career growth opportunities at QATestLab, etc.<\/p>
