Practically-oriented training of students is a really urgent requirement of the modern labor market. The modern economy and labor market are constantly changing and require more than just theoretical knowledge from graduates. Practice-oriented training is an important part of students’ education and helps them to be better prepared for the challenges of the modern labor market, complements students’ theoretical knowledge, and makes them more competitive in the labor market.<\/p>

In today’s IT market, the role of a software tester is very important and in demand. A software tester (QA-engineer) is a specialist who is responsible for checking the quality of a software product before it is released to the market. The main goal of the tester is to identify errors, defects, and shortcomings in the software, as well as to make sure that the program meets the requirements and expectations of users.<\/p>

Students of the educational program “Economic Cybernetics and Business Analytics” already in the 3rd year have the opportunity to study the discipline “Introduction to Software Testing”, the methodological support of which is provided by QATestlab, an international outsourcing IT company that provides a full range of software testing services.<\/p>

QATestLab operates in the independent testing market, performing quality assurance of products (from online stores to gaming platforms and banking systems) for customers from Europe, America, and Asia.<\/p>

In accordance with the Memorandum signed between QATestLab and Sumy State University, the Department of Economic Cybernetics received the right to use the materials of the course “Software testing for Universities” in the educational process and the right to access the software infrastructure for the educational process of the course on a free basis.<\/p>

Upon completion of the course, higher education students have the opportunity to take a test and receive a certificate from the company, as well as to be interviewed for employment at QATestLab.<\/p>

This year, the online presentation of QATestLab took place on September 11 at 10:05 a.m. The presentation was made by the head of the QATestLab Training Center, Oksana Kurmash. During the presentation, students received a lot of useful information about the profession of a software tester, about the company, about employment in the company, about the course “Software testing for Universities”, etc.<\/p>

The presentation was also attended by Alina Poskanna, a specialist of the QATestLab Training Center, a graduate of the Department of Economic Cybernetics. The Department of Economic Cybernetics is sincerely happy for its graduates who work in well-known IT companies and wishes them professional growth!<\/p>
