The monograph was prepared within the framework of <a href=\"https:\/\/ek.biem.sumdu.edu.ua\/erazmus-jean-monnet\">the Jean Monnet (Module) \u201cEU Practices to Protect the Financial System from Cyber Threats\u201d (EU_PITCH).<\/a> <br \/>The monograph addresses the current challenges of the digital economy related to the growth of cyber fraud in the financial sector. The nature of cyber fraud, its types, and current challenges faced by the financial sector in Ukraine and the EU countries are defined. Particular attention is paid to the institutional support for combating fraud, the role of EU regulations such as GDPR, PSD2, NIS2, and the use of advanced technologies based on artificial intelligence to monitor and protect financial systems. The paper also examines international experience in fighting cybercrime, including the activities of Europol, ENISA, and CERT-EU, and emphasizes the importance of financial literacy and cyber
