As part of\nthe course \u2018Quantitative Methods in Economics\u2019 and with the aim of acquiring\npractical skills in using MS Excel for data analysis, first-year students\nmajoring in C1 \u2018Economics and International Economic Relations\u2019 took part in\nthe National Digital Skills Marathon, which began on 9 December 2025.  The National Digital Skills Marathon is a\nnationwide initiative that helps Ukrainians develop modern digital competencies\nfor learning, work and business. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

The speaker\nwas Maria Hafutniak, an analyst at Info Sapiens and mentor of the Data Analyst\ncourse.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

During the\nfirst session, higher education students had the opportunity to learn how to\nwork with pivot tables in Excel, a tool that transforms large amounts of data\ninto understandable reports.  <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

The webinar\ncovered the following topics<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

\u2022 Requirements\nfor creating pivot tables: how to structure data correctly before analysis<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

\u2022 Creating\npivot tables: key parameters, filters, sorting<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

\u2022 Grouping\nin pivot tables: summarising data by category, period, value<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

\u2022 creating\ncharts based on pivot tables: how to convert data into understandable\nvisualisations.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

Participation\nin the webinar provided higher education students with the opportunity to learn\nhow to confidently create their own summary tables and diagrams, obtaining real\ninsights from the data for decision-making in their studies and personal\nprojects.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

The\nDepartment of Economic Cybernetics invites students to attend online workshops,\nwebinars, and meetings with practitioners and employers to understand current\nlabour market trends and identify opportunities for future career growth. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>
