With the aim of improving the quality of professional training for students at Sumy State University in the following majors: 051 \u201cEconomics,\u201d C1 \u201cEconomics and International Economic Relations,\u201d and 121 \u201cSoftware Engineering,\u201d and to ensure high-quality professional and practical training as well as the development of educational and scientific processes, a branch of the Department of Economic Cybernetics has been established at Infinity Technologies.<\/p>

As part of the branch\u2019s activities, a meeting was held on May 14, 2026, with Yevgen Dmytriyev, Director of Human Resources at Infinity Technologies. The topic of the meeting was \u201cLinkedIn as a Tool for Job Search and Professional Development.\u201d<\/p>

During the meeting, Yevgen Dmitriev emphasized that for future professionals, a LinkedIn profile is an important tool for professional development, finding internships, securing a first job, and building one\u2019s own career brand. The modern job market is increasingly focused on a professional\u2019s digital presence, so a properly completed LinkedIn profile can be the first step toward a successful career.<\/p>

A completed LinkedIn profile serves as a modern online resume. It allows you to list your education, academic projects, term papers, conference participation, certifications, proficiency in various data analysis tools, and more. It is important to demonstrate not only theoretical knowledge but also practical skills, including developed economic and mathematical models, results of economic indicator forecasting, and data processing skills.<\/p>

According to Yevgeny Dmitriev, LinkedIn helps future professionals build professional connections. Through this platform, users can follow companies\u2014such as Infinity Technologies\u2014that offer internships and job openings for programmers, analysts, economists, data analysts, business analysts, risk analysts, and more. In addition, students can add alumni, faculty members, business representatives, HR managers, and other professionals to their professional network. This creates opportunities for professional networking, receiving advice, and exploring career opportunities.<\/p>

Employers often review candidates\u2019 LinkedIn profiles before an interview. If a student\u2019s profile is well-developed and includes a clear description of skills, academic achievements, and professional interests, it builds trust in the candidate. Even if a student does not yet have significant work experience, they can highlight academic projects, analytical tasks, participation in student research, online course certificates, and a commitment to professional development.<\/p>
