📅 On September 17, 2026, an online career guidance meeting was held with 25 third-year students majoring in “Finance, Banking, Insurance, and the Stock Market” and “Entrepreneurship and Trade” at the Konotop Industrial and Pedagogical Vocational College of Sumy State University.
🎓 The meeting was led by Alina Yurievna Yefimenko, assistant professor in the Department of Economic Cybernetics and deputy head of the department for career guidance. Participants learned about opportunities to continue their studies at the Institute of Bioengineering and Economics (IBE) of Sumy State University, including practice-oriented training, participation in international academic mobility programs, and research work.
💡 Special attention was given to the majors offered by the Institute of Business and Economics and the specifics of Specialization C1, “Economics and International Economic Relations,” which combines a fundamental economic education with modern analytical and digital tools.
📊 The practical part of the meeting involved an introduction to Our World in Data – an open-data platform on global socioeconomic, demographic, environmental, and technological trends. Participants were shown how to search for, visualize, and compare statistical indicators by country and time period, as well as how to use ready-made datasets for statistical analysis and research on global trends in sustainable development.
