QATestLab IT Training Center at the Department of Economic Cybernetics
Practical training of students is an urgent requirement of the modern labor market. The position of a tester today is one of the fastest ways to start a career in the IT field.
In order to improve the quality of IT training of students of the educational program “Economic Cybernetics and Business Analytics”, a Memorandum was concluded between Sumy State University and the IT company QATestLab and a training center of the company QATestLab was created on the basis of the Department of Economic Cybernetics.
The purpose of the memorandum is cooperation between the Parties in the field of education and training of qualified specialists in the IT industry, exchange of experience in the development of advanced methods and technologies of training.
QATestLab is an outsourcing IT company that provides a full range of software testing services. It operates in the independent testing market, performing quality checks of products (from online stores to gaming platforms and banking systems) for customers from Europe, America, and Asia. The company’s motto is “Quality is a rule!”
According to the Memorandum, the Department of Economic Cybernetics has the right to use the materials of the educational course “Software testing for Universities” in the educational process and the right to access the software infrastructure to support the educational process of the specified course free of charge.
The online educational platform WEB 100.Platform, materials of the educational course “Software testing for Universities”, access to the software infrastructure to support the educational process are used when higher education applicants study the discipline “Introduction to Software Testing” (teacher – Associate Professor Yatsenko V.V.),
After studying the discipline, students have the opportunity to take the test and, if the requirements for passing the test are met, receive a certificate from the QATestLab company and undergo an interview for employment.
Meetings of students of the educational programs “Economic Cybernetics”, “Business Analytics”, “Economic Cybernetics and Business Analytics” with representatives of the QATestLab company have already become traditional. During such meetings, special attention is paid to the development of the modern IT market, the profession of a software developer and tester, passing a job interview, and the need to develop soft skills for a future specialist.
