Project summary
According to the European Green Deal, designed to respond to global challenges caused by climate change and environmental degradation, the EU is developing a modern, resource-efficient, and competitive economy. No net emissions of greenhouse gases by 2050 are one of the main tasks of the European Green Deal. Transforming the energy sector to reduce non-renewable energy consumption is a key tool for achieving this goal. The forced rapid diversification of the supply of energy resources to the EU poses threats to the economy in the short term. However, the joint efforts of the EU countries regarding rational energy consumption and saving energy resources can accelerate the development of renewable energy and consolidation of models of sensible energy consumption among the population. The module “The European energy saving experience for the recovery of Ukrainian communities” implements the principle of “no person and no place left behind” in the European Green Deal and involves students and the public in spreading the European experience in energy saving. The project promotes EU values and visualizes what the European Union stands for and intends to achieve.
Under the goals of The Erasmus+, the module “The European energy saving experience for the recovery of Ukrainian communities” is aimed at generating knowledge and forming ideas among representatives of local communities. The project aims to spread the general public understanding of measures and implemented approaches in the EU regarding the formation of energy-saving energy consumption among the population of all countries of the united Europe, which corresponds to the principles of sustainable development.
The module adopts an interdisciplinary approach (and combines EU Energy, EU Business and Administrative, and Public Service Studies) and implicates the EU policy practice to energy-saving cooperation in Europe.
