On 24 June 2025, the Department of Economic Cybernetics hosted the first day of defence of bachelor’s theses of the educational programme ‘Economic Cybernetics and Business Analytics’, speciality 051 ‘Economics’.
Students presented the results of their research on automation and economic and mathematical modelling. The topics included automation of business processes in a company that produces remote health monitoring systems; automation of financial accounting for cryptocurrency transactions; modelling the state’s technological armament to ensure cybersecurity of the economy; assessing changes in the effectiveness of the public health system under martial law; implementing the National Bank’s digital currency project using machine learning methods; analysing the impact of economic digitalisation on corruption; modelling the resource potential of digital technologies; and more.
The defence was held in Ukrainian and English and was accompanied by lively discussions between students and members of the examination committee.
The examination committee consisting of Denys Safonov, CEO of European Consulting Service LLC (chairman of the committee), Professor Anton Boyko, Associate Professors Anna Yarovenko and Vitaliia Koibichuk noted the practical value and high quality of the submitted qualification papers.
The commission members also emphasised the innovative approaches, analytical depth and relevance of the research topics. The results of the work have not only scientific but also applied significance – they can be integrated into real business processes, support management decision-making, and contribute to the digital transformation of enterprises and government institutions.
