PROJECT GOAL
The aim of the project is to develop a roadmap for regulatory interventions in the context of martial law in Ukraine and for future development in its post-war period with the aim of systematically ensuring cyber security, decriminalisation, and de-shadowing of the economy, which will allow for the implementation of fundamentally new intellectual and algorithmic mechanisms that will help reduce aberrations and vulnerabilities in the economy and its digital and cyber security transformation to ensure the interests of economic entities.
STAGES OF RESEARCH WORK
Stage 1. Justification of the concept of cybersecurity and digital transformation of the country in wartime
Stage 2. Diagnosis and forecasting of vulnerabilities caused by cybercrime, corruption and the shadow economy
Stage 3. Formation of comprehensive concepts for the prevention of cybercrime at the level of ‘households – economic agents – the state as a whole’
MAIN TASKS OF RESEARCH WORK
- Analysis of aberrations in the activities of economic entities and sectors arising from the latent influence of cybercrime, corruption and shadow economy operations.
- Identification of patterns in the development of the shadow economy, the spread of cyber fraud and corruption
- Assessment of the maturity of the country’s existing cybersecurity system in wartime
- Assessment of promising areas for the digital transformation of the country’s economy
- Identifying the country’s technological resources and their potential reserves to ensure protection against cyber fraud, counteract corruption and the development of the shadow economy
- Optimising the use of the country’s technological resources, taking into account their cybersecurity and digital orientation, with a view to reducing the size of the shadow economy and the financial cybercrime sector
- Diagnosis of vulnerabilities formed under the influence of the spread of fraud, corruption schemes and darknet operations implemented in the cyber sphere during the country’s martial law
- Forecasts of the impact of cybercrime, corruption and the shadow sector on the country’s economic development in wartime
- Profiling countries, taking into account the multi-variant cybersecurity and digital transformations of key sectors of the economy and business
- Assessment of the effectiveness of convergence processes of cybersecurity and digital transformation of the economy in terms of ‘households – economic agents – the state as a whole’
- Modelling sustainable economic development of the country, taking into account socio-economic, technological, cyber security and military-political dimensions
- Roadmap for reforms to complement cyber security, decoupling and de-shadowing of the economy in wartime and post-war reconstruction
