On March 23, 2026, the assistant of the Department of Economic Cybernetics, Alina Yefimenko, held an online guest meeting for students of the VSP “Classical Vocational College of Sumdu”. The event was attended by about 100 applicants of the 1st and 2nd years of various specialties, including:
• 073 “Management” educational and professional program “Production Organization”;
• 123 “Computer Engineering” educational and scientific program “Computer Network Maintenance”;
• 171 “Electronics” educational and professional program “Production of Electronic and Electrical Automation Equipment”;
• 192 “Construction and Civil Engineering” educational and professional program “Construction and Operation of Buildings and Structures”;
• 193 “Geodesy and Land Management” educational and professional program “Land Management” and other specialties.
The meeting took place within the framework of the interactive course Big Data Lab 📈 and was dedicated to modern approaches to working with big data.
🔍 The participants of the event:
• got acquainted with the concept of Big Data and the features of working with real data;
• learned about the use of modern platforms, in particular Kaggle;
• considered examples of the application of analytics in business;
• worked with practical cases and tasks.
🎓 Special attention was paid to the presentation of the educational program “Economic Cybernetics”, which combines economics, data analytics and mathematical modeling. Students learned about the possibilities of using Big Data for forecasting and making effective management decisions.
