Interactive course Big Data Lab

On February 18, 2026, Alina Yurievna Yefimenko, assistant professor of the Department of Economic Cybernetics, held an online guest meeting as part of the interactive Big Data Lab📈 course for 18 second- and third-year students majoring in “Enterprise, Trade, and Exchange Activities,” “Finance, Banking and Insurance,” “Accounting and Taxation,” and “Automation, Computer-Integrated Technologies and Robotics” at the Shostka Professional College named after I. Kozhedub of Sumy State University.
Students were able to immerse themselves in the analysis of real data using modern information technologies.
The training covered:
• the concept of Big Data;
• the specifics of using real data;
• the use of Kaggle and Google Cloud technologies and platforms;
• real business cases and their solutions.
During the meeting, the specialties of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Business, Economics, and Management of Sumy State University were also presented. The features of C1 Economics and International Economic Relations, OP “Economic Cybernetics,” which opens up prospects for a deeper study of modern economic models, the use of big data and mathematical methods for business decision-making, were described in more detail. The program will provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary for analyzing and forecasting big data, which will be an important tool in your career as an economist or business analyst.
