SumDU Scientist Presented on Using Neural Networks for Cybercrime Detection at ISMSIT2025

Oleksandr Kushnerov, a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Economic Cybernetics at Sumy State University, participated in the 9th International Symposium on Multidisciplinary Studies and Innovative Technologies (ISMSIT2025), held from November 14-16, 2025.

Oleksandr presented a scientific report titled “Neural Network-Based Methods for Cybercrime Detection and Classification.” In his presentation, the scientist emphasized that in an era of rapid technological development and the growing scale of cyber threats, traditional security mechanisms are often insufficient. The research focuses on the need to implement more resilient, adaptive, and intelligent defense systems. During the presentation, the results of our current research within the framework of state-funded research project No. 0124U000550, “Modeling the mechanisms of combating organized and transnational cybercrime in war and post-war periods” were presented.

Participation in an international symposium of this level confirms the high scientific potential of Sumy State University and its active contribution to solving global challenges in the field of cybersecurity.
