On March 19, 2025, a webinar on the topic “Countering Cryptojacking in EU Countries” took place. The event gathered a wide range of participants interested in cybersecurity and protecting financial systems from the threats of illegal mining.
The keynote speaker was Viktoriia Bozhenko, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor of the Department of Economic Cybernetics. She provided an in-depth overview of the European Union’s best practices for safeguarding personal computers and mobile devices against cryptojacking and shared practical recommendations for the webinar attendees.
The event was held within the framework of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet educational project “EU Practices for Protecting the Financial System from Cyber Threats,” implemented at Sumy State University.
