On May 27, 2025, a webinar on “Cybersecurity Engineering of the Digital Economy” was held, the speaker of which was Kostiantyn Hrytsenko, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Economic Cybernetics at Sumy State University. The event was held as part of the Jean Monnet module “Developing Digital Competences of Digital Economy Professionals and Business Leaders: Best European Practices for Ukraine” funded by the Erasmus+ program (101127435-EU_DIGIT-ERASMUS-JMO-2023-HEI-TCH-RSCH).
The webinar was attended by students, postgraduates and teachers of Sumy State University. The webinar participants discussed the features of common network attacks and ways to mitigate them, different types of malware, behavioral approaches to cybersecurity, penetration testing, characteristics and value of personal and organizational data, methods of protecting organizations from cyberattacks. The speaker emphasized the importance of protecting offline and online identities, using password managers, two-factor authentication and open authorization. He presented a model of the cybersecurity cube, which consists of three facets: confidentiality, integrity, and availability, and emphasized the importance of protecting data in different states, such as processing, storage, and movement.
