Forum ‘The Future of Digital Skills’

On 12 June 2025, the Future of Digital Skills Forum was held online. The event was held within the framework of the Jean Monnet module ‘Developing digital competences of digital economy professionals and business leaders: best European practices for Ukraine’, funded by the Erasmus+ programme (101127435-EU_DIGIT-ERASMUS-JMO-2023-HEI-TCH-RSCH).
Students, postgraduates and teachers of Sumy State University had the opportunity to communicate with experts in the digital economy, financial and IT sectors, and reviewed EU best practices in areas such as artificial intelligence technologies, public digital services, digital markets, self-regulation, digital competence, cybersecurity and digital education.
The forum participants discussed practical cases of the use and regulation of artificial intelligence systems in the EU, the EU regulation on digital markets and the Digital Services Act, the digital ecosystem for small businesses and biometric payments in trade in Denmark, European practices of digital transformation in education and security, digital transformation of the banking sector and public digital services in the EU, the Slovenian digital tax service eDavki, voluntary licensing of online content and the implementation of a medical digital platform for patients in Sweden, and the development of a digital healthcare system in the UK.
The Future of Digital Skills Forum has become an important platform for promoting cross-sectoral dialogue with the academic and expert community and sharing new ideas and practical experience in developing digital competences.
