Replace a desktop computer with a laptop

The autonomy of the laptop can be increased. For this:
- reduce the brightness of the display to the minimum comfortable level;
- we use a dark theme (this is a combination of the background of the desktop and the color of the windows);
- choose a balanced power management scheme;
- close background programs.
A useful feature of laptops is the energy saving mode.
To prevent the laptop from discharging too quickly, it is recommended not to open many programs at the same time and to turn off unnecessary functions (for example, Bluetooth) in a timely manner. It is also worth avoiding overheating and using an integrated video adapter to display the image on the screen.
If you are not using the laptop, it is better to turn it off completely. Just closing the lid is not enough.
Use power banks for power
With the help of a power bank, you can power not only a smartphone, headphones, a flashlight or a lamp, but also charge a laptop. For this, you need to have a power cable and that the laptop and power bank have a USB 3.1 standard input. The maximum power output of the power bank should be equal to or greater than the power of the laptop charger. Just keep in mind: you need to choose a model with a large capacity – at least 20,000-30,000 mAh.
What to do when there is no Internet?
First, you should try to revive the router. To do this, you can, for example, connect the router to the power bank using a power cable with the appropriate connector.
Secondly, if the cellular network is working, you can distribute mobile Internet from a smartphone to a laptop.
Set up offline access to working documents
Even in the absence of the Internet, you can work with some Google services: documents, tables and presentations. To do this, you need to enable offline access in the settings of Google Drive or individual files. This can be done only in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browsers.
