On November 23 at 13:00 an online meeting of students of the Department of Economic Cybernetics (group E-11 \ 2ek, curator Minenko SV) with representatives of “VoxUkraine” – an analytical platform founded in 2014 by a group of economists and lawyers working in Ukraine and abroad. The main goal of VoxUkraine is activities aimed at developing economic debate and providing quality analysis of economic processes in Ukraine.
The online meeting with VoxUkraine employees was very informative and informative for students of various courses and study programs. During the video consultation, the speakers opened the topic of analytical work with data, fact-checking, countering fakes and misinformation in the fields of economics, government and sociology. Part of the information about the work of the company’s staff was provided through a video tour of the VoxUkraine office. Ms. Svitlana spoke about which sources of information should be trusted, how facts are verified, what are the specifics of work and internships in the field of data journalism. She supported the presentation of information with illustrative examples of the company’s work and personal experience. Participants were provided with recommendations for quantifying social and economic processes, working with information, representing their own experience and skills in a resume for successful employment.
The meeting was attended by students of different courses of OP “Economic Cybernetics”, “Business Analytics”, “Economic Cybernetics and Business Analytics”.
