Meeting of the interactive course on agent-based modelling

📅 On 1 May, an online lecture was held for students of grades 10-11 of the Stetske Secondary School of I-III degrees as part of an interactive course on agent-based modelling. The event was held by the assistant of the Department of Economic Cybernetics – Alina Yurievna Efimenko 👩‍🏫.

👥 The lecture was attended by more than 30 students who had a unique opportunity to get acquainted with a modern approach to the study of economics – agent-based modelling.

📌 During the event, the participants
– learned how agents interact with each other within the market 🤝;
– considered how demand, supply and prices are formed 🏷;
– analysed the behavioural options for consumers and entrepreneurs through practical business cases 💼.

🧩 The speaker paid special attention to the practical understanding of how local markets function and change under the influence of the actions of individual participants. This immersion helps students to better understand the economic processes that are happening around them.

🎓 At the end of the lecture, the participants were presented with the Economic Cybernetics educational programme, which combines economic theory with information technology, mathematical modelling and data analytics. The programme trains a new generation of specialists – analysts who are able to make informed business decisions based on the analysis of large amounts of information 📈🖥.

📣 We thank all participants for their active participation and interesting questions!
