Meeting with schoolchildren as part of an interactive agent-based modeling course
📅 On February 07, 2025, Alina Yurievna Efimenko, Assistant of the Department of Economic Cybernetics, held an exciting meeting as part of an interactive agent-based modeling course. The event was attended by about 20 students of the 11th grade of the Sumy Specialized School of I-III degrees №7 named after Maxim Savchenko of the City Council.
🔍 What were they talking about?
Participants had the opportunity to dive into the world of agent-based modeling and consider key aspects of the behavior of economic agents in the regional market of goods and services. In addition, students discussed:
✔️ how agents interact in the market;
✔️ how demand, supply and prices are formed;
✔️ what factors influence human behavior in the business environment.
💡 What did you learn?
In addition to solving interesting business cases, the students got acquainted with the educational program “Economic Cybernetics and Business Analytics”. They learned how this specialty allows them to study modern economic models, analyze big data, and use mathematical methods to make effective business decisions.
