Participation in the Data Analytics marathon: new knowledge for the development of the educational program

🚀 From 22 to 25 September 2025, Alina Yefimenko, assistant professor at the Department of Economic Cybernetics and member of the working project group of the educational program ‘Economic Cybernetics and Business Analytics’, took part in a marathon on Data Analytics organised by the IT company Go IT.
The event brought together participants from various universities and companies seeking to develop their data analytics skills. Over the course of four days, participants immersed themselves in key aspects of the data analytics profession, including:
🔹 the role of analytics in modern organizations;
🔹 the importance of data analysis for business processes and management decision-making;
🔹 a set of necessary hard skills (programming, SQL, machine learning, statistics, data visualization);
🔹 the importance of soft skills (analytical thinking, creativity, communication, adaptability).
Particular attention was paid to practical tasks: participants wrote SQL queries based on real business cases and created dashboards and visualization in Looker Studio.
📈 Participation in the marathon became for Alina Yefimenko not only a source of new knowledge in the field of data analytics, but also a source of new ideas for improving the educational program ‘Economic Cybernetics and Business Analytics’.
