Participation in the lecture ‘Development of a solution for vegetation animation in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2’

📅 On April 3, 2025, teachers and students of the Department of Economic Cybernetics took part in the event ‘Development of a solution for vegetation animation in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2’, which took place as part of the international gaming conference GAMES GATHERING 2025 LVIV.

🎤 The speaker of the event was Maxim Maltsev, Tech Artist at GSC Game World. He shared his experience of developing vegetation animation in the cult game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, focusing on:

✅ the use of geometry in 3D modelling;
✅ technical and organisational challenges in creating realistic flora;
✅ controlling a large number of assets to ensure development flexibility;
✅ scaling solutions for the game world, etc.
