As part of the study of the discipline “Econometrics”, students of the educational program “Economic Cybernetics and Business Analytics” took part in the webinar “Secrets and Myths of Big Data”, which took place on March 15, 2023. Speaker – Pavlo Tsyura, Data Science specialist, instructor at Main Academy
During the webinar, the following issues were discussed: who is a Data Scientist; professions in Data Science; secrets of Big Data; cases of well-known companies.
Special attention was paid to the methods of building and researching regression models.
The students were advised to get acquainted with Kaggle, a system for organizing data science competitions and a social network of data science and machine learning professionals. The Kaggle environment is organized as a public web platform where users and organizations can publish datasets, explore and build models, interact with other data scientists and machine learning engineers, and organize and participate in data science competitions.
We hope that participation in the open webinars will allow students to get a comprehensive view of the development of the modern IT industry, choose the direction of their future professional activities, and improve their own competencies.
