Participation of students of the EPP ‘Economic Cybernetics and Business Analytics’ in the webinar ‘Techniques for documenting requirements: practical analysis and Q&A’

Continuing their acquaintance with the profession of business analyst, students of the study programme ‘Economic Cybernetics and Business Analytics’ (4th year) took part in the webinar ‘Requirements Documentation Techniques: Practical Analysis and Q&A’, which took place on 9 May 2024.
The speaker was Valeria Kolomiets, Business Analyst at Lizard Soft. Valeriia has 5 years of experience in IT and more than 4 years as a business analyst, working with the following domains: insurance, investment, trade, document management systems, mining, and exchanges.
During the webinar, students learned about case studies – Use Cases and User Stories, the main mistakes that should not be repeated, received practical advice from the business analyst’s experience, and got acquainted with the steps to be taken at the beginning of a project to increase the likelihood of its implementation.
Special attention was paid to the career development of business analysts, important Soft & Hard Skills.
The Department of Economic Cybernetics invites students to attend online workshops, webinars, meetings with practitioners and employers to understand current labour market trends and see opportunities for future career growth.
