On November 27, the first open cybersports tournament in the Overwatch 2 discipline “CYBER SUMDU [Overwatch 2 FFA]” was held in Sumy, organized by the Cybersports Center of Sumy State University with the support of the Department of Economic Cybernetics of NNI BiEM, the Sports Club of Sumy State University, the Institute of Business, Economics and Management of Sumy State University, Sumy State University , eSports Federation of Ukraine and Martian Teapots Digital Arts Studio. 24 participants registered for the tournament (20 of them – schoolchildren and 4 students). 12 participants made it to the playoffs. The playoffs were held in a hybrid format: offline + online. The offline part was held in the Sumy State University Congress Center with all safety measures in place.
The winner of the tournament was Yaroslav Hristoslavenko (school No. 29, Sumy).
The tournament was held as part of the Week of Non-Formal Education “The Art of Living Together”, which took place with the organizational support of Sumy State University and DVV International in Ukraine. The tournament was also held in support of the educational program “E-Sports and Development of Computer Games”.
