Finding a future job can be a challenge for university graduates, but there are several steps that can help you cope with this task effectively. One of these steps is to prepare a resume and cover letter.
As part of their study of the Information Management discipline, students of the Economic Cybernetics and Business Analytics and Economic Cybernetics study programs took part in the webinar “What are recruiters looking for and how to get them interested?” on September 6, 2023.
The webinar was hosted by Natalia Golivets, an IT recruiter with experience as a Talent searcher in the foreign market.
During the webinar, higher education applicants received useful tips on how to prepare a resume, cover letter, and resume structure, learned about the criteria that recruiters and technical interviewers look for, reviewed the most common mistakes juniors make during interviews, and received information on useful job search resources.
Attention was also paid to personal branding and one’s own LinkedIn page. Students received tips on how to fill out a LinkedIn page and expand their network.
Preparing students for a job search is an important stage of the educational process, which can greatly help on the way to achieving success in their chosen career.
The Department of Economic Cybernetics recommends that students actively participate in open lectures, webinars, and trainings. Participation in such webinars allows you to analyze current trends in market development, in particular in the IT sector.
