On 28 May 2024, a webinar on ‘EU experience in integrating cyber risks into the ERM of financial services’ was held, with Vitaliia Koibichuk, PhD, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Economic Cybernetics at Sumy State University, as the main speaker. The event was held as part of the Jean Monnet module ‘EU Practices to Protect the Financial System from Cyber Threats’ funded by the Erasmus+ programme (101085364-EU_PITCH-ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEI-TCH-RSCH).
The webinar was attended by students and teachers from S. Kuznets Kharkiv National University and Sumy State University. The participants of the webinar discussed the evolution of the cyber threat landscape in 2023, the global financial impact of cybercrime and the framework of the General Data Protection Regulation. The speaker also spoke about legal protection of consumers and financial institutions, network vulnerabilities, types of cyber threats in Ukraine and the EU, and interoperable risk management.
