On 28 May 2024, a webinar on ‘Information Literacy in European Countries’ was held, with Valerii Yatsenko, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Economic Cybernetics at Sumy State University, as the speaker. The event was held as part of the Jean Monnet module ‘Developing digital competences of digital economy professionals and business leaders: best European practices for Ukraine’, funded by the Erasmus+ programme (101127435-EU_DIGIT-ERASMUS-JMO-2023-HEI-TCH-RSCH).
The webinar was attended by students, postgraduates and teachers of Sumy State University. The participants of the webinar discussed the EU’s digital transformation plan ‘Digital Compass 2030: The European path to the digital decade’, the DigComp framework of digital competences for EU citizens, comprehensive EU programmes for the digitalisation of society, and the EU action plan for digital education (2021-2027). The speaker also spoke about topical issues of information literacy, communication and collaboration, digital content creation, security, and creative use of information technology in solving practical problems.
