🌍 This conference brought together specialists and representatives of the gaming industry, teachers and students of higher education institutions.
📢 The program included lectures by leading experts who shared real cases and insights from their professional practice.
💡 One of the key topics of the event was employment – an issue that is especially relevant for university graduates. In many reports, speakers focused on the challenges that candidates face.
In particular, in the report “Why won’t we hire you?” 👩‍💼 Anastasia Mudra, Head of Talent Acquisition at Burny Games, shared practical tips on job searching, current trends in the labor market, and effective strategies that can increase candidates’ chances of success.
📌 Among the main reasons for rejection during employment were:
😐 lack of interest and preparation,
❓ unclear or contradictory answers,
💤 insufficient motivation,
😕 unprofessional attitude,
🔇 weak communication skills,
🚫 false or exaggerated information,
📉 misunderstanding of the company’s business goals,
😒 disrespect for the interview process.
🛠️ To improve job search results, the speaker emphasized the importance of developing networking skills, personal branding, and adapting to the dynamic labor market. The role of a high-quality resume, motivation letter, and effective use of the LinkedIn platform was especially noted.
It is recommended to treat the job search as a structured project:
🔎 analyze vacancies,
✍️ adapt resumes and cover letters,
🧩 use modern tools (for example, ChatGPT),
🗂️ keep a table with submitted applications,
🧑‍🤝‍🧑 develop networking and a personal brand.
🧭 These tips are especially useful for students of the educational program “Esports and Computer Game Development” who seek to build a successful career in game development.
🎯 The speeches provided the participants with a clear understanding of the labor market, employer expectations, and possible paths for professional development.
Such experience is a valuable contribution to improving educational approaches and helps students realistically plan their career path 🧠💼🎮.
