Every day, the world accumulates a lot of information: in business, government agencies, social networks, and online cinemas. The key task of a modern economist and analyst is the ability to process it correctly and formulate conclusions/ideas/solutions for business.
As part of the study of the discipline “Applied Econometrics” in order to study the features of big data analysis, students of the educational program “Economic Cybernetics” took part in the webinar “Data Scientist/Data Analyst: Introduction to the profession”, which took place on October 19, 2023.
The webinar was hosted by Igor Betley, Head of R&D at Platma and Agrosem.
During the webinar, students found answers to a number of questions: why the best time to master the profession of Data Science is now; how the profession of Data Science opens access to: freedom, high salaries, opportunities to work with companies from Europe and the United States; how to choose a direction that will allow you to earn good money, will be relevant for the next 15-20 years, and will give you pleasure and interest in work.
During the active discussion, it was confirmed that the Data Science profession allows many people to be confident in their future. To be sure that AI will not take away jobs from economists and analysts. The students learned that to enter the profession, you need to have an intermediate level of English and a desire to constantly learn something new.
