Results of the Dota 2 open cybersports tournament “CYBER SUMDU [Dota 2 5×5]”

On October 15-16, the final part of the Dota 2 open e-sports tournament “CYBER SUMDU [Dota 2 5×5]” was held. 45 participants (9 teams) competed in the tournament – schoolchildren of grades 9-11 and students from the city of Sumy and the Sumy region. From September 17 to October 9, qualifying games were held in an online format, during which 6 teams were selected to compete in the play-off part of the final, which was held at the Sumy State University Congress Center last weekend with all safety measures in place. The winners of the tournament were the “4 + Pudge” team consisting of: Oleksiy Klymenko, Daniil Radko, Denis Kovalenko, Mykola Chmelov, Tymofiy Roenko, Denis Bogolyubov (Glukhiv and Sumy).

This event had a significant result in terms of career guidance work in the context of the new OP “Cybersports and development of computer games”, as 4 publications were made in the social networks of the organizers and partners, 3016 people were reached, 82 likes were collected, and people were involved during the online broadcast event of 736 people. In general, the event had a significant informational effect and made it possible to draw more attention to the new specialty among applicants.
