The textbook «Machine Learning for Cybersecurity in Financial
Services» was
published by Associate Professor of the Department of Economic Cybernetics Hanna
Yarovenko.
The textbook addresses
the current combination of machine learning methods and cybersecurity
challenges in the financial sector, taking into account the EU experience and
Ukraine’s needs in the face of growing digital threats. The publication covers
eight key topics that combine theory and practice in a comprehensive manner:
each chapter contains theoretical material, practical tasks, and examples of
machine learning algorithms in Python. The textbook develops skills in working
with data, building, training, evaluating, and improving models aimed at
detecting threats and improving cyber defences in the financial sector. The
publication has a distinct applied focus and is intended primarily for
undergraduate students majoring in 051 – Economics, in particular, the Economic
Cybernetics and Business Analytics study programme. It will also be useful for
students of other specialities, postgraduate students, teachers and
practitioners in the fields of finance, business intelligence and
cybersecurity.
The textbook was
published as part of the Jean Monnet Project (Module) «EU Practices to protect
the financial system against cyber threats’» (EU_PITCH).
