Webinar “Anti-corruption and prevention of shadow politics in the EU”

On November 19, 2024, a webinar on “Anti-Corruption and Prevention of the EU Shadow Economy Policy” was held, the speaker of which was Vitaliia Koibichuk, PhD, Associate Professor, Department of Economic Cybernetics. The event was held within the framework of the training course “Anti-corruption policy and policy of countering the shadow economy of the EU” of the international grant – Jean Monnet module “Anti-corruption and countering shadow economy: step by step to common Europe”.

The participants of the webinar discussed the essence and features of the EU anti-corruption system and reviewed widespread and large-scale fraudulent schemes (including the Azerbaijan Laundry, Uber file disclosure and Qatargate). The speaker also briefly reviewed the basis of legislation aimed at protecting the EU’s financial interests.
