Interactive course on agent-based modelling

🗓 On 27 October 2025, the Department of Economic Cybernetics held an online class as part of an interactive course on agent-based modelling for 11th grade students at Konotop Secondary School No. 10.

👩‍🏫 The lecture was given by Alina Yurievna Yefimenko, assistant professor and deputy head of career guidance. About 15 students took part in the event, where they had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of modern economic modelling, explore the behaviour of market agents, and practise solving real business cases.

🔍 Participants learned the basics of agent-based modelling, types of seller and buyer behaviour, and the possibilities of using the Kaggle platform for data analysis. Thanks to the interactive format of the class, schoolchildren were able to not only listen to theoretical material, but also apply their knowledge in practice.

🎓 The lecture also featured a presentation of the educational programme ‘Economic Cybernetics’ for the C1 specialisation ‘Economics and International Economic Relations.’ The programme is aimed at training specialists who are able to work with big data, apply mathematical methods to make business decisions and forecast economic processes.
