LinkedIn account: how to make friends with the platform?

LinkedIn is not just an online resume, but a powerful tool for finding a job, establishing professional contacts, and developing your own brand. How do you fill out your profile correctly to be found by recruiters? How to present yourself effectively and build a successful career? We share our top tips.

How to create an effective profile?
✅ Fill out your profile as much as possible
LinkedIn determines the level of completeness of your profile and recommends achieving All-Star status, which increases your chances of getting a job by 40 times! To do this, you need to fill in 7 main sections: photo, headline, short description, experience, education, skills, and contacts.
✅ Upload a high-quality photo
Your photo should be professional but friendly. You can check the impression of the photo on the Photofeeler service – users will help you choose the best option.
✅ Optimize your profile title
Don’t use internal job titles that may not be clear to the general public. Add keywords that will help recruiters find you. For example, instead of “Category I Analyst” it is better to write “Data Analyst | Business Intelligence | SQL, Python”.
✅ Build your network of contacts
To improve your profile visibility, aim for 500+ contacts. Add people from your professional field, colleagues, teachers, recruiters, and potential employers.

❓How to find a job on LinkedIn?
🔹 Open your profile for recruiters
On the home page, click “Open to Work” and select “Find a new job”. This will increase your chances of being noticed.
🔹 Prepare effective messages for recruiters
If you’re writing to a recruiter or potential employer, make sure you’re introducing yourself in a short but meaningful way.
🔹 Optimize your skills and experience

Add relevant skills for the desired position. LinkedIn allows you to consolidate 3 key skills – ask your colleagues to confirm them. Add courses and certificates you have completed. This will show that you are developing and not standing still.
