On 8 April 2025, Alina Yurievna Efimenko, Assistant of the Department of Economic Cybernetics, held a guest meeting with students of the Sumy State University’s Mechanical Engineering College as part of the interactive course Big Data Lab📈.
The event gathered about 20 3rd year students majoring in 122 ‘Computer Science’.
During the event, students got acquainted with the key characteristics of Big Data,
features of using real data. The event participants had the opportunity to dive into the capabilities of Kaggle and DrivenData platforms.
The meeting will also present the Economic Cybernetics study programme, which opens up prospects for a deeper study of modern economic models, the use of big data and mathematical methods for making economic decisions using modern information systems. The programme will equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to analyse and forecast big data, which will become an important tool in your career as an economist or business analyst.
